Why did you set the goal of harvesting 29 North American big game animals?

I do a lot of research online about hunting, animals and record clubs. One night I was doing some research and I came across the NA29. It was the perfect opportunity for me to challenge myself as a person and as a hunter. I knew that attempting to complete it would take my hunting to the next level. That night I made the decision to set the NA29 as my goal and I haven’t looked back.

How long have you been hunting?

I have been hunting for five years and bow hunting for three years.

What bow do you use?

I currently use a Mathews Z7 Extreme. I am in the process of getting a Mathews Creed XS. It’s one of Mathews new bows and I’m so excited to use it in 2014.

What arrows do you use?

About two years ago, I started using Easton Injection arrows. These arrows are a game changer. They are thinner than any other arrows on the market, they hit hard and penetrate great. I also use the Muzzy TroCar 3-Blade Fixed-Blade broadheads. The Muzzy broadheads create devastating wound channels. Both Easton arrows and Muzzy broadheads are highly recommended.

What hunt have you enjoyed the most so far?

My favorite hunt so far would have to be the Stone sheep hunt in the Yukon. The territory is so different than Oklahoma and it truly was an incredible hunt.

What hunt on the North American Super Slam are you most looking forward to?

I am so excited about the Desert sheep hunt. Ever since I harvested the Stone sheep in August, I’ve been anxious to get out there and hunt another sheep.

How many hours a week do you practice?

Currently, I devote an at least an hour a day to shooting my bow. I will spend over 8 hours a week perfecting my craft and working to become the best bow hunter I can be.
